B-H Curve Viewer

Explore the demagnetization (B-H) curve for common magnet materials, and see how it shifts with operating temperature. Values are sourced from manufacturer datasheets; where a property was given as a range, the conservative end was used.

About this model. Br, Hci, and temperature coefficients are sourced from manufacturer datasheets for each grade; where a datasheet gave a range (for Br, temperature coefficients, or working temperature), the conservative end of that range was used. The demagnetization curve's "knee" shape itself — how sharply it bends, and how that bend migrates toward the B-axis above the rated working temperature — is a simplified illustrative model layered on top of that real data, not digitized from an actual per-grade curve. For Neodymium, the Grade and Op Temp Limit dropdowns are cross-filtered to match real catalog availability. Real curves vary by exact composition and manufacturing batch — for a design decision where precise demagnetization margin matters, use the manufacturer's actual datasheet for your specific magnet.
